Repairing Cracked Tiles
Cracked tiles are a common problem in bathrooms and kitchens, but they can be repaired easily and inexpensively. If the crack is small, it may be possible to repair it with a tile repair kit. However, if the crack is large or the tile is badly damaged, it may be necessary to replace the tile.
How to Repair a Small Crack in a Tile
- Clean the crack with a damp cloth.
- Apply a small amount of tile repair compound to the crack using a putty knife.
- Smooth the compound over the crack and let it dry for 24 hours.
- Once the compound is dry, sand it smooth with fine-grit sandpaper.
- Apply a sealant to the repaired area to protect it from water damage.
